Description: This photograph from 1933 shows three women cornering in a street in the Raval district of Barcelona, a dense and socially diverse urban space that, during the first third of the 20th century, became a symbol of the social and cultural tensions of the modern city. The seemingly everyday image reflects the presence of women in public space and invites reflection on living conditions, informal work and marginalization in a context of major urban transformations.
