Description

The membership cards of the CADCI from 1936 are a direct testimony to the strength of Catalan trade unionism during the Second Republic. This organization, which brought together trade and industry workers, played a key role in the defense of labor rights and in the promotion of labor culture. The cards not only accredited membership, but symbolized collective identity and commitment to social justice. This document reflects the vitality of the Catalan trade union movement and its connection with the European values of solidarity, democracy and the dignity of work. It is also an example of how the associative structures contributed to the empowerment of the working class.
