Description

This economic model of specialization of female religious communities in the field of clothing was promoted by the Church from the 19th century until today. Sant Pere de les Puel·les assumed as its own the liturgical renewal that the Catholic Church experienced from the beginning of the 20th century and during the second half of that century it specialized in the making and dissemination of new models of liturgical vestments through the publication of DECOR, a sheet that disseminated patterns and modern and innovative textile models so that other religious communities could make and sell them. Its customers are basically European and American monasteries and women’s convents that were DECOR subscribers.
