Description

The magazine L’Infantil, published in 1951 by the boys of the Seminary with the support of the Diocese of Solsona, is an exceptional document within the repressive context of Francoism. It is the first authorized publication in Catalan after the Civil War, at a time when the public use of the Catalan language was severely restricted. Despite its religious and pedagogical character, the magazine became a tool of cultural resistance and linguistic transmission for the new generations. Its subsequent continuity with Tretzevents reinforces its role as a precedent for a new stage of cultural recovery. It is a clear example of how, even in authoritarian contexts, Catalan culture found ways to stay alive and connected to the European values of plurality and identity.
