Description

The railway line from Lleida to Saint Girons or Transpirinenc Central was born as a large international line of 850 km that had to join Baeza (Jaén) with Saint Girons (Arieja) passing through Albacete, Teruel and Lleida. The line was started in sections and the one connecting Lleida with Balaguer was inaugurated in 1924, while a large part of the route would never be built. The stretch from Lleida to Saint Girons would reach La Pobla de Segur in 1951, where it would end up dying without reaching the international connection. The document corresponds to the scheme of stations on a scale of 1:2,000 prepared by the 2nd Department of Railway Studies and Construction.
