Description

Josep Maria Sagarra i Plana is one of the most important photojournalists in Catalonia at the beginning of the 20th century, together with the Brangulís, Pérez de Rozas, Josep Gaspar and Pau Lluís Torrents (with the latter he formed a society). Sagarra’s photographs bear witness to the few most important events of the Second Republic and the Civil War in Barcelona, as shown by this image in which a member of the Red Cross is helped to transport a wounded man during the military rebellion of July 1936.
