Description

When the Pyrenean economy was based on agricultural and livestock activity, the bordes were of great importance when it came to being able to manage the territory and its resources. These constructions were specially designed to be able to maintain this economy. On the one hand, the grass that was cut during the summer was stored there and on the other, they were used to keep the livestock there during the winter. In this case, we find women cutting the grass on the banks of the Ribera d’Isil.
