Description

Francesc Macià had been president of Catalonia for a few months and visited Solsona on June 24, 1931, supporting the electoral campaign of Pere Coromines. The photograph is by Josep Maria Vicens, a fundamental photographer for the graphic testimony of Solsona and other towns from the beginning of the 20th century until the 1950s. He is in a hurry at the Hotel Sant Roc, a modernist building, the work of the architects Ignasi Oms and Bernardí Martorell, a disciple of Antoni Gaudí.
