Description

Cèsar Martinell from Vallenc built between 1918 and 1921 about forty cooperative wineries, the so-called “cathedrals” among vineyards, especially in the southern regions of Catalonia, still ravaged by phylloxera. Following in the footsteps of his teacher Antoni Gaudí and within the framework of Noucentisme, which was transferred to socio-politics in the Commonwealth, he built functional and beautiful buildings, fully integrated into the landscape.
