Description

Its relevance is crucial as it is the first notarial protocol of Terrassa and one of the oldest preserved in Catalonia. The notary of Terrassa was established around 1236 by King Jaume I and the monastery of Santa Maria d’Ègara obtained an intermediate domain as compensation for its traditional rights over the issuance of documents in the term of Terrassa.
