Parchment with the trace of the Strozzi palace in Florence

This parchment, dated between 1489 and 1504, contains a Renaissance architectural project of Florentine origin: the layout of the Strozzi Palace in Florence. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that it constitutes a tangible sample of the transmission of artistic and architectural models between Italy and Catalonia during the Renaissance. This document is a valuable source for studying how the humanist ideas and formal languages ​​of the Italian Renaissance influenced Catalan architecture, especially in the area of ​​urban elites and religious institutions. The presence of this project in a Catalan archive demonstrates the circulation of ideas, techniques and styles through European commercial and cultural networks.
