Description

Corpus Christi is part of the traditional Catholic liturgy and, consequently, of a cultural and ideological position common to many Europeans. However, as happens with many religious festivities in our territory, this celebration has transcended the exclusively religious sphere and has ended up forming part of the collective imagination of the inhabitants of Ribera d’Ebre and, especially, Tivissa.
In this coastal town, especially during the 70s of the 20th century, the festival mobilized practically all the residents, who during the weeks before Corpus Christi went to the mountains to collect flowers and make carpets throughout the historic center of the town, an event that attracted a good number of visitors.
