\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tTourism and the rediscovery of the Catalan landscape from the late 19th century to the 21st century constitute a key phenomenon in the redefinition of the territorial identity of Catalonia. It arises with Romanticism and the Renaissance, when the landscape becomes a mirror of its own identity, with nature and culture celebrated by artists and intellectuals. Hiking centers play a central role in this. In the 20th century, tourism turns this aesthetic vision into an economic and social force.
