Faced with the doubt of whether to continue the Gothic cathedral with one or three naves, the most prestigious contemporary master builders who were building or doing work on other churches, cathedrals and civil works in Catalonia (Girona, Tortosa, Tarragona, Barcelona, \u200b\u200bSeu d’Urgell, Manresa, Castell\u00f3 d’Emp\u00faries, Perpignan) were called to the presence of a stonemason living in Narbonne, for his opinion on several issues: if the work already made to a ship could continue firmly and safely; if it was not possible or if one did not want to continue with one nave, if the work begun on three naves was sufficient and safe and could be continued or if it had to be changed in another form and to what height it had to rise; which continuation would be more proportionate to the new Gothic head.
