Copy from the second half of the 11th century."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This document from 1033, a copy of a text from the Synod of Vic, contains the first constitutions of the Peace and Truce of God. This movement, driven by the Church and the peasantry with the support of the counts, sought to limit feudal violence and protect the civilian population. It is one of the first examples of European parliamentarism and can be considered a precedent for the Catalan Courts. The document reflects the parliamentary origin of Catalan political culture and its contribution to the construction of a European model of governance based on the pact and the regulation of power.
